Verbonks · last updated 23 October 2026
Short version: Verbonks is a free game for learning English irregular verbs. We keep only what the game needs to save your progress. We never sell your data, we show no ads, and we use no tracking or advertising cookies.
Who runs Verbonks
Verbonks is made by Julio Fernández Prada, an English teacher in Chile. You can contact him at julio.fernandez.prada@gmail.com.
What we keep
- Playing without an account: your progress, high scores and settings are saved only in your own browser (local storage). They never leave your device.
- Signing in with Google: Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us. We use them only to create your account and show your name in the game. We never see your Google password.
- Game progress for signed-in players: your XP, streak, high scores, levels and the verbs you miss are saved with your account so you can continue on any device.
- Certificates: when you pass a certification exam while signed in, we keep the name you typed for the certificate, your level, score, time and date. Anyone with the certificate's link or credential ID can see those details at verbonks.com/cert, so you can show it on LinkedIn. Deleting your account deletes your certificates too.
- Visit counts: we count visits and a few game events (for example "a B2 certificate was earned") with the date and the site you came from (for example tiktok.com). We use no cookies for this and keep no IP address or anything else that points to you.
- World Top 10: if you sign in, your best scores appear in the public Top 10 with your first name and last initial only (for example "Julio F."). Your email and picture are never shown.
Where it is stored
Accounts and progress are stored in a Supabase database (servers in São Paulo, Brazil). Each player can only read and change their own data. The website itself is hosted by ZGlobalHosting. Students who play through their school's class site use separate school accounts managed by their teacher.
What we don't do
- We don't sell, rent or trade your data.
- We don't share it with anyone. Our service providers (Supabase for the database, Google for sign-in) only process it to run the game.
- We don't use your Google data for advertising or to train AI models.
- We only ask Google for basic sign-in details (name, email, picture). We don't access your Gmail, Drive, contacts or anything else.
Children
Verbonks is made for students. Children under 13 should play with the permission of a parent or teacher. If you are a parent and want your child's data deleted, write to us and we will delete it.
Deleting your data
Signed in? Open the menu with your name at the top and choose Delete account. Your account, progress and scores are erased right away. You can also email julio.fernandez.prada@gmail.com from the address you signed in with, and we will delete everything within 30 days. You can also remove Verbonks' access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/connections. Progress saved only in your browser can be removed by clearing your browser's site data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
